2025 Buick Enclave Makes Big Bet On Technology, Gets New Styling Too

The Buick Enclave was a visual reminder of the neglect that the Buick brand as a whole experienced over the past few years. However, GM is once again giving Buick the attention it rightfully deserves. The Buick Envista is a potent reminder of this in action for budget buyers and flagship Buick buyers now get a piece of the action too with the 2025 Buick Enclave.

Exterior Styling Takes Some Getting Used To

The exterior styling of the 2025 Enclave is more squared off than before with the odd-looking headlights being replaced by a front end that adopts cues from the Wildcat concept. This has been an ongoing trend on other Buick models with the recently unveiled Envision also embracing the new front end as well.

The side profile gets squared-off wheel arches that are joined by new wheel designs and the rear of the Enclave also gets new taillights that now unify in a new lightbar. Like other recent Buicks the trim levels will play a prominent role in what look you get with the base Preferred getting a rather mundane look which is contrasted by the mid-level ST which gets sportier accents including blackened accents for the wheels and other select portions of the exterior. The range-topping Avenir goes for a more elegant look and gets more chrome accents and spiffy Avenir badging.

Yes, the exterior styling is alot to process here but we think that it’s a step up from the odd styling elements that were included in the outgoing model’s last major refresh.

Tech Forms Potent Backbone Of Enclave Interior

The interior gets the biggest upgrades here and for those that saw the new Envision recently, alot of the look carries over here to the Enclave as well. A large 30-inch screen stretches its way across the dashboard and combines the infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster into one large piece. A floating center console adds a pinch of visual excitement to the cabin and warm ambient lighting gives the Enclave a warm glow at night.

Buyers that go up to the Avenir will get front heated and cooled front seats with the rear seats also getting seat heat too. A 12-speaker Bose audio system is standard but Avenir bumps the speaker count up to 16. The Enclave will also be the first new Buick to get the Super Cruise system with the feature allowing buyers to drive hands-free on mapped sections of freeway. It was originally supposed to debut on the Envision but changing development schedules forced the company to bump it from that model and place it on the Enclave instead.

Carryover Performance

Performance for the 2025 Buick Enclave is shared with the Chevrolet Traverse and the GMC Acadia with the Enclave getting a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. In the Enclave it produces 328 horsepower and is mated to an eight-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is standard but buyers can add an optional all-wheel drive system for four-season capability.

The suspension setup is pretty mundane for the most part but buyers that go for the Avenir model get an adaptive suspension that sharpens handling and enhances ride comfort as well. The Enclave is also underpinned by a new platform which is larger than before but is also lighter than the outgoing models.

When Will We See It?

Buick didn’t reveal pricing for the 2025 Buick Enclave with its official release but look for figures to go up from the outgoing model with a base 2024 model starting at $44,190 after bonus offers are applied. The first wave of 2025 models are slated to enter BUick showrooms this summer.
