If the Ford Mustang from the 1960s has a squeaky-clean image like a boy scout, the Camaro is the image of teenage rebellion. Its owner will be sulking in the corner. Cutting class and doing burnouts in the parking lot. With other burnouts?
That mean and sinister feel is ever-present in this black on black on black 1967 Camaro. Even the taillamps and door-handles are a matching black.
Those door handles, by the way, are finished with color-matched Allen head screws. Very, very cool.
Up front, new lighting and a blackout lip spoiler and grille make all the difference. There is no place for the original bulb blinkers, so it looks like this amazing Camaro has LED amber turn lamps in the lower fog area.
The effect with these enormous rims and brakes is amazing. No boy scouts allowed.
THE ENGINE
I was initially pretty confident that this was an LS3 engine, but upon further inspection — it appears the be the gigantic 7.0-liter LS7 crate V8 from Chevrolet Performance! This engine alone is about $14,000 — so obviously a very well-prepared Camaro!
