2024 Buick Envision Debuts New Infotainment System and Styling

When we last saw the 2024 Buick Envision, it was in a lone image that the company released back in March of 2023. A long time has passed since then and Buick is now finally ready to fully reveal the 2024 Buick Envision which brings new styling and technology to buyers looking to envision themselves in a Buick SUV for their next purchase.

2024 Buick Envision Has Wildcat In Its Genes

The biggest change that buyers will see when they look at the 2024 model is that the front fascia gets replaced with a new one that gets alot of its inspiration from the Wildcat EV concept. While the Envision will not be an EV anytime soon, it’s good to see that the Envision will be taking Buick’s new design language very seriously.

The Envision also gets bigger wheels with the Avenir and ST models getting 20-inch wheels while the base model makes do with a set of 18-inch wheels. The rear fascia looks largely similar to what we saw already on the outgoing model but Buick is quick to point out that it’s using its new badging design. As a whole, we like how the Envision looks like a bigger Envista and this resemblance might please buyers looking to move up to one from that model when it comes time to buy.

Envision Interior Hits The Big Time

The biggest changes that Buick made to the 2024 model are on the inside with the interior boasting updates that bring it closer to some of the German competition that Buick is targeting with the Envision. The dashboard is all-new and it features a 30-inch screen with the digital instrument cluster and the infotainment system all being placed under one pane of glass. The center stack and the lower portion of the dashboard have been reworked to accommodate this screen with the rest of the dashboard adopting a sportier appearance.

Buick also eliminated some of the hard analog controls for the climate control system but kept a few toggles for commonly used items. The brand also got rid of the old model’s push-button style shifter and replaced it with a large silver knob and extra storage. The shifter itself is replaced with GM’s new-age column style shifter with the company slowly adding it into more models after briefly experimenting with the idea a few years ago.

Two-tone interior designs will also be available and Buick says that the front seats are now more comfortable and offer more support too. Ambient lighting is also available and Buick says that it has upped material quality in key parts of the interior to try and make the Envision feel more upscale than it ever did before. Unfortunately, the luxury features do not include Super Cruise. Buick originally said that the Envision would debut Super Cruise on Buick products, but the brand said that shifting timelines forced them to not bring it to the model for 2024. However, Buick said that it will eventually bring Super Cruise vehicles to the market but declined to say when it would do that and which model will now be the one that gets to bring it to Buick showrooms.

Turbocharged Power Continues To Dominate

With Buick focusing the bulk of its attention elsewhere for the Envision’s updates, the performance hardware here is carried over from the 2023 model. That means  2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 258 hp and is mated to a nine-speed automatic. All-wheel drive is now standard across the entire lineup with the front-wheel drive variants all being pitched for the new model year.

This choice also caused the Envision’s pricing ladder to go up for 2024 with a base Preferred model now starting at $37,295 with the mid-level ST raising that figure up slightly to $39,795. The Avenir is the flagship in the family and in addition to having the luxury to match its elegant badge, it also has a price tag to reflect this as well with a base model now starting at $48,395.

Look for the 2024 Buick Envision to begin making its way to dealerships this summer with more information being released in the next few months.
