The Ineos Grenadier SUV aims to be the throwback off-roader that many buyers never knew they needed, with the model also adding a pinch of modern conveniences to help it appeal to younger buyers. However, the SUV was never meant to be the lone offering for the company, and Ineos has released a new teaser for the new Grenadier Quartermaster pickup, which will make its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Family DNA Gives Quartermaster Familiarity
At its core, the Quartermaster is essentially a Grenadier SUV with its back half transformed into a pickup bed which means that changes to the front are minimal and will look the same to those that already own the SUV. The teaser image shows the new tailgate and large Grenadier word mark, which runs across the tailgate itself in big letters. The taillights also adopt the same circular look as the SUVs, and that makes sense since the company confirmed that the underpinnings for the truck will be shared with the SUV, so it’s safe to assume that also applies to the core electrical hardware.
All Quartermaster models will be double-cab only and, as a result, will have a short but usable bed to balance out the extra passenger room the configuration’s cab will provide to customers. Look for the Quartermaster’s engines also to be carried over from the SUV, with a trio of engines being used in European models, including two BMW-sourced ICE inline-six engines.
How Will The Quartermaster Participate at Goodwood
Ineos has a rather ambitious plan to debut the Quartermaster at the event, with the truck slated to make a run up the legendary hill climb course. In addition to its time on the hill, the company is also slated to bring its Grenadier Hydrogen Fuel Cell Demonstrator to the event and will have the SUV available to drive at the off-road course.
In addition to making a splash at Goodwood, the Grenadier SUV is also preparing to enter the U.S. market early next year. The SUV will appear in Field and Trailmaster guises and start here at $71,500. Lastly, Ineos is also preparing to enter the EV segment, but plans for these models are still largely lurking in the shadows, with the company confirming that the model will appear sometime in 2026.
