When Acura promised to give the TLX a pinch of NSX supercar flair, the company followed through with the TLX Type S PMC Edition and some of the colors that came with it, including the latest addition to the color roster, Gotham Grey Matte.
Bruce Wayne, Your Acura TLX Has Arrived
Even Batman needs a break from the Batmobile, and the TLX S PMC Edition is shaping up to be a compelling candidate. Like other PMC Editions, this Gotham-hued example will be limited to 50 units and will continue to be a largely designed-focused creation. In addition to the NSX-sourced paint job, the PMC Edition also brings other design-focused changes to the TLX, including exclusive edition wheels, red interior upholstery, carbon fiber trim, and a special interior plaque denoting its place in the production order.
Performance for this latest PMC Edition is the same as the rest of the family, with the Type S PMC Edition being powered by the same 355-horsepower, turbocharged, 3.5-liter V-6 that also sees duty in the standard model. A 10-speed automatic is the lone transmission available. It allows the PMC to deliver not only strong fuel economy figures but also sharp performance when the TLX is tasked with spirited driving.
When Can I Buy One?
As mentioned, this particular Type S PMC Edition will be limited to 50 examples, with this batch of sedans expected to begin production this April. Pricing will start at $66,995, which includes the $1,995 destination fee. That’s a noticeable premium over the standard Type S, which starts at $56,745. The model will be built at Acura’s Performance Manufacturing Center in Ohio, which also helped craft the recently retired Acura NSX.
