2021 Colorado ZR2
The dated Colorado receives a few minor updates for 2021. On the exterior, the ZR2 gets a revised facia and better visibility for the driver. The tow hooks up front have been painted red to make them easier to find. For the rear the tailgate now features a stamped “CHEVROLET” instead of the bow tie emblem. Inside the Colorado remains the same as in years past.
The two Engine options remain the same for the ZR2. A diesel option with the 2.8-liter Duramax inline 4 that has 181 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque or the 3.6-liter V6 gas with 308 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque. The diesel engine is paired to a 6-speed auto, while the gas is paired to an 8-speed.
Pricing
With a base price of $43,200, the ZR2 is very competitive with other midsize off-roaders. Ford’s top of the line Ranger Tremor starts at $42,545, the Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro starts at $44,175 and the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon starts at $44,140. The bison package adds $5,750 and a slew of protection upgrades. With the destination charge the total price of our tester was $50,145.
