With Toyota sending us the 4 Runner TRD PRO to test for a week, we have now had seat time in all their currently available off-roaders. The 4 Runner still uses the 4.0 V6 and 5 speed auto, which uses a little more fuel and isn’t as refined as some newer offerings, but that didn’t matter once we left the pavement. In our opinion, the 4 Runner TRD PRO is the best Toyota for all types of off-road terrain. Scroll to the bottom to get our take on the other TRD PRO Vehicles.
The 4 Runner TRD PRO starts at $49,765 and the upgrades to our test model were:
Sliding rear cargo deck ($350)
Running boards ($345)
Cargo divider ($149)
Door edge guards ($79)
Blackout emblem overlays ($160)
Cargo cover ($170)
Including destination the total MSRP for our tester was $52,147.
