A cool half-mill bought this desert jackal in 2013. The 2016 estimate is a snip then, at just $125k.
Mecum 2016 – 1969 Ford BRONCO by Chimera Customs

1969 Ford Bronco
Built by Chimera Customs
ESTIMATE: $100,000 – $125,000
Chimera Customs of North Palm Harbor, Florida, built this fully customized 1969 Ford Bronco to benefit the Armed Forces Foundation. Built at an estimated cost of more than $180,000, it is a thoroughly crafted off-road machine and an impressive showpiece as well. To begin the project, the frame was smoothed, sand blasted, welded and powder coated, then fitted with custom-built Dyna Trac Pro Rock high-angle 60 front and rear axles, high ground-clearance steering and long-arm suspension by Wild Horses Bronco with twin shocks at all four corners. The Bronco’s 17-inch Trail Ready bead lock wheels with 285/70/17 Dune Grappler tires handle any terrain. Power comes from a custom-built 406 CI Ford V-8 with a Holley 4-barrel carburetor, aluminum intake, MSD distributor and tube headers feeding dual side exhaust. A Concept-1 serpentine system drives the 120-amp alternator and power steering pump, and things are kept cool with a James Duff aluminum radiator and electric fans. Fed by an Aeromotive electric fuel pump from an extra-capacity heavy-duty fuel tank, the big 406 drives a new NV3550 5-speed manual transmission with twin-stick Atlas transfer case and custom-made front and rear drive shafts. Body modifications include a smoothed firewall, smoothed bed rails and smoothed and chopped doors. Spray lined inside and out, the Bronco sports deep black paint, a scooped hood and riveted fender flares, off-road front and rear bumpers with off-road lights and a Warn 9000 rock-crawling winch. The interior has been updated and completely customized throughout including Corbeau front and rear seats with harnesses and grab handles. A custom-made wiring harness was made to go along with the Classic Instruments gauges. The interior also has three safes that include a center-console safe with hide-a-way radio, under-seat slide out and dash-mounted glove box. This stunning Bronco was finished off with a roll cage and custom-made top with matching door panels, armrest and shifter boots.
