The X6 M has one big demerit versus its rivals from Porsche and AMG: its very modest exhaust. The Cayenne Turbo and GLE63 AMG are both far more vocal on hard throttle, with that backbellow becoming a really endearing trait of the machine over its lifetime in your garage.
The stock exhaust is swapped out in favor of a far more free-breathing and evocative unit in the new AC Schnitzer X6 M upgrades. Paired with turbo tuning module, the ACS truck now boasts 650-horsepower, a leap 75 ponies over the stock truck.
We’d estimate the changes are quite effective for all timed testing: down to the high 3-second-range for the 60-mph sprint!
That is serious pace for any truck, now with harmonics and optics to match?
The exterior changes to the ACS upgrade are very conservative, which is good and bad. Good because it maintains the original OEM class and timelessness. But bad if you were shooting for a full widebody.
As such, the AC Schnitzer mods for the F86-generation BMW X6 (non-M) are much more tempting. Those changes to the standard gas or diesel models are quite fetching. Check out the detailed spec below, and check out AC Schnitzer’s website to order yours.
