Getting a car onto the Pebble Beach Concours lawn is mostly objective: the car has to fit the category and be absolutely flawless in every way.
But moving from the fairway and onto the greens where the awards are given?
That is all about subjective appeal — with metrics like “elegance” telling you that winning is largely about the mood of the year and the slinky aesthetic of the cars in question.
All this seems silly until you spend time with a car like this. Elegant is one of the first things that comes to mind, and sticks with you later too. Beautiful.
