Believe it or not, this below Honda Vezel article is the most popular piece on Car-Revs-Daily.com over the past 12 months. By a huge margin. People are excited about this vehicle.
It is great to see the predictions come true in a USA model of this cool and stylish small crossover – even if the name and the headlights are toned down versus some of the European and Concept models a bit. We also lose a bit of body-color trim on the outside in favor of grey plastic, but such is life. The USA-spec HR-V still looks fresh and really cool from all angles.
Scant images of the new HR-V exist yet, but expect pricing to slot in just below $20,000 for a base HR-V, and each toward the high 20’s with everything available. AWD and a Hybrid option remain unconfirmed, but the vast majority of the new HR-V buyers will be okay with front-drive and Civic-based powertrains.

HR-V will serve as the entry point to Honda light truck lineup
The all-new Honda HR-V entry crossover (automobiles.honda.com/hr-v) will make its North American debut at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show on Nov. 19. Previously seen only in pictures, the HR-V will serve as the entry point to the Honda light truck lineup, positioned below the CR-V in both price and size and competing in an all-new segment for the brand.
With sleek styling and expressive character lines, the HR-V is anticipated to launch this winter. Built on the same global compact platform that underpins the critically-acclaimed Fit, the HR-V will feature a versatile and spacious interior thanks to an innovative center fuel tank layout. The HR-V will be equipped with the Honda-exclusive Magic Seat®, which allows for multiple seating configurations and the ability to fold the second row seat completely flat for added cargo space.
Further details about the Honda HR-V will be revealed on Nov. 19 at 12:35 p.m. PST at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Finally, Honda is back!
The Vezel looks so good, it could proudly wear a red Type R badge.
Honda proved itself in Tokyo this week, with the debut of the charming and on-trend Vezel compact crossover.
With a roofline racier than any Honda model to date and a sensible, handsome and refined style: the Vezel will be climbing the U.S. sales charts starting in Spring 2014.
The Tokyo debut is a RHD hybrid variant, indicating a name change may even be possible before this little Juke-fighter arrives.
CR-V… CR-Z…CR-Y… CR-X?
Nothing comes to mind. I like Vezel, and hopefully it sticks.
With conventional, Civic-based gasoline powertrains a sure thing along with Honda’s new hybrid system, the Vezel looks like a big hit for Honda.
And a sure sign that Honda is *very aware* of concerns about previous models, and have been for three years. It just takes time to make major changes to the entire exteriors, interiors and design concepts.
But from the ghastly abomination that was Accord Crosstour to this Vezel in just 36 months: Very Good, Honda.
In white, this Vezel is bringing back Type R daydreams!
