Dodge is out to prove that it’s still the gold standard for performance with the revamped Dodge Charger bringing the brand into the EV wars. However, in addition to its muscular performance, the brand is also known for occasionally going outside the box with some of its marketing efforts. That included 2022’s Chief Donut Maker campaign when the brand enlisted the help of skilled drivers to provide thrills and plenty of donuts for crowds at select events.
This time, Dodge is looking for “badassadors” to represent the brand with Dodge officially kicking off the nationwide search at Barrett Jackson’s Scottsdale auction in Arizona.
What’s a “badassador” anyway?
“We continue to push the boundaries of performance, and we’re looking for brand ambassadors who are also ready to shake up the status quo,” said Dodge CEO Matt McAlear. “If Dodge isn’t pushing boundaries, if Dodge isn’t making people uncomfortable, we wouldn’t be Dodge, and those are the kind of ambassadors the brand is looking for: enthusiasts who disrupt, who will stand out and shine a light on the next generation of Dodge muscle.”
As for the word itself, Dodge is promoting this latest piece of marketing jargon with its own definition (we’re not joking) saying it’s a noun which means ” a brand ambassador with attitude.” In other words, Dodge is looking for marketing, with the chosen individual being tasked with producing unique content for Dodge with the person getting access to Dodge vehicles for some of these projects. In addition, they will also be expected to attend events where they will interview celebrities and executives. The one critical thing Dodge doesn’t say in its promotional material is if the “badassador” will get any monetary compensation like the Chief Donut Maker did. Instead, Dodge says they will give them plenty of Dodge-branded swag and other perks, possibly hinting that these freebies will be the sole means of reward for their service.
How can I apply?
If you feel you have the qualifications needed to become a “badassador” for the brand you can check out the link here. Unlike the old Chief Donut Maker gig, Dodge is not looking for a specific set of skills and said that the opening is available to enthusiasts who cover a wide range of interests and demographics.
