- It’s incredibly powerful.
The numbers are jaw dropping. 641 horsepower and 565 lb. ft. of torque. For those playing at home, the Porsche 911 GT3 serves up (only!) 502 horsepower.
- It’s incredibly fast.
0-60 mph comes up in 3.2 seconds. That’s about the same as that Porsche 911 GT3!
- It thinks it’s a gas-powered car. (Sort of)
One of the great thrills in the 5 N – press the N button on the steering wheel and a tachometer shows up on the gauge display, and the sound of a sporty 4-cylinder engine is pumped in. It even revs and makes all the noises to match your left foot. Adding to the fun, the power delivery will “stutter” making it feel like the “transmission” is shifting between gears. So much fun.
- It’s still everyday friendly and usable
Despite the awesome power and acceleration, this is a friendly, easy-to-drive vehicle with a smooth ride, an adult-friendly rear seat, and plenty of cargo space.
- It’s stealthy
We were kind of surprised with this one. While Hyundai went to some big efforts to make the 5 N really stand apart from the other Ioniq 5 models, our tester really didn’t get much attention. With this kind of performance, we’re kind of glad it flies under the radar!
