Acura Teases ADX Crossover, Promises Higher Levels Of Tech

Acura is preparing to debut the 2025 ADX in a few months with the new entry-level crossover promising to fill a hole in the brand’s model lineup. While the company is not quite ready to unveil the model in full just yet, several new teaser images appear to confirm that the ADX will attempt to blur the lines of performance and style when it debuts in a few months.

ADX fills the void

Our glimpse of the exterior was limited to a single shadowy image of the rear lighting which suggests it will follow the brand’s current design language with the slender LED accent lighting and the small spoiler in the roof being largely copied and pasted from other Acura models including the ZDX.

The interior photos on the other hand provide a far more revealing look at the ADX with the cabin featuring a large dual-pane moonroof and ventilated white seats. A Bang & Olufsen premium audio system is also on board but it remains to be seen what buyers can expect from lower trims with Acura’s carefully picked selection of photos not revealing what’s in store for buyers that are willing to go further down the trim ladder to save money.

Acura also confirmed that the model will be powered by a punchy turbocharged four-cylinder which is most likely the 1.5-liter four-banger used in the Integra but unlike the coupe, the ADX will most likely offer an automatic only (there aren’t many CUV buyers who are keen on rowing through the gears themselves anyway.)

When will we see it?

The ADX is slated to make its debut this fall. The company will most likely not release pricing until after its debut is completed, but look for it to be in the thick of it with rivals as the ADX attempts to carve a slice of the market for itself in the hotly contested compact CUV segment. A Type S model could also be in the pipeline but while the thought of an entry-level player in the performance CUV ranks is a tempting prospect, we suspect that Acura will play it safe to avoid sales cannibalization.

Acura is also using the ADX as a proverbial springboard for several other new CUVs that it’s planning to complete as the brand attempts to expand its presence into the utility vehicle market which will help be a definitive launching pad for its EV-related efforts
