Rolls Royce Embraces The Sun With Bespoke Spectre Semaphore

Rolls Royce is always known for wowing the crowds with a special vehicle or concept every year at Monterey. The British ultra-luxury car maker is continuing this established tradition further with the unveiling of the one-of-a-kind Spectre Semaphore which is the latest in the company’s lineup of stylish one-off custom creations.

Flashy exterior paint highlights the bulk of the changes on Spectre

The centerpiece here on the Spectre Semaphore is the flashy yellow exterior paintwork which is called… Semaphore Yellow with Rolls Royce stating that the color was specially designed just for this custom one-off vehicle. The yellow paintwork is accompanied by a two-tone hood that gets “Marble Spill Paint” with the trippy hue attempting to replicate a mixed pool of yellow and silver paint with the effect being done by multiple layers of silver lacquer and clear coat. The company said the paintwork wasn’t easy to produce, with over 160 hours of labor needed to pull it off.

Meanwhile, the interior gets two-tone Lemon Yellow and Citrine Yellow accents for the seats, door trim, and the dashboard. Lemon Yellow stitching enhances the look and even the center dial in the gauge cluster becomes yellow. The rest of the interior is mostly carried over from the standard model but that’s ok since the Spectre brings an impressive amount of luxury and technology to its bespoke segment. There was also no mention of changes to the performance hardware but look for it to continue using the 577 horsepower dual-motor setup with this EV powertrain also getting 291 miles of range. Rolls Royce says the model highlights “the bold new codes of luxury being established by the marque’s confident, youthful client base.”

When can I buy one?

Unlike other bespoke commissions that the company has done over the years, this particular vehicle has not been pre-sold and is still available to purchase from any Rolls Royce dealership. Before that happens though, the car will make its debut at The Quail, A Motor Sports Gathering on August 16th during Monterey Car Week.
