Honda Teases 2026 Passport TrailSport, Will Have More Style and Capability

Honda’s Passport has become a sales smash for the company with the model providing a key bridge between the bigger Pilot and the smaller CR-V while also injecting more rugged capability into the lineup at the same time especially with the TrailSport. However, the current generation Passport is starting to show its age and the company has now released the first teaser image for the 2026 Passport Trailsport which promises to give the SUV a newfound injection of personality.

Passport Trailsport gets revised styling

In Honda tradition, the two teaser images Honda released of the Trailsport don’t reveal much with the second image shot from a great distance away. Instead, the bulk of our attention will be focused on the image Honda provided of the front end which reveals that some key changes are about to take place. The grille appears to be smaller than before while the lighting now gets C-shaped DRLs that are housed behind amber-colored lenses.

The grille also has the Passport name stamped underneath it and the hood also appears to have a scoop of some kind though it remains to be seen if this is functional in any way or if this is mere visual fluff that’s designed to look like a scoop. If it is a scoop, it might indicate that the model will get a smaller turbocharged four-cylinder which would not only help boost fuel economy but also give Passport buyers a new base engine with the bigger V6 either being axed entirely or reserved as an optional engine choice.

When will we see the 2026 model?

Honda says that the 2026 Passport will be “the most adventure-ready and capable Honda SUV yet” with the company also confirming that the SUV will get some innovative features in the segment which would help give it enhanced sales appeal with consumers. Expect the model to make its debut later this year with more details like pricing and performance numbers being released either at its debut or shortly after.

In regards to pricing, we hope that Honda can maintain the value-focused ladder that the Passport has come to be known for and that it will not rock the boat too much if it has to bump up pricing for the new model year.
