The Buick Wildcat has always been the perfect tease for Buick owners and enthusiasts. The sleek coupe is sadly still not for sale but it’s a nice throwback to a time when design and traditional car entries defined the brand. Buick wants to make sure that buyers don’t forget about that history and has debuted a new slogan and a new flavor of the Wildcat concept in a new video.
Good as Gold Color Sharpens Buick Wildcat
Buick’s video didn’t reveal anything out of the ordinary with the video focusing on being a montage of Buick’s greatest hits including the iconic Y-Job as well as the Buick Envista, Encore GX, and the aforementioned Wildcat. Speaking of the Wildcat, it made its appearance in a new fold-hued color though it’s not known if it’s a physical real-world application or skillful use of CGI. It’s notable to mention though that the concept in this video has revised headlights and grille work which is pretty interesting especially for a vehicle that’s not supposedly being produced.
The other key takeaway from the video is the new slogan “Exceptional by Design.” This slogan replaces the last major slogan “The Craft of Modern Luxury” which appeared way back in 2008 with this new marketing pitch line being selected after extensive consumer testing. It will also possibly be replacing a recent string of cliched taglines that the brand has been using in recent years including the “S(You)V” label which we called the brand out on in this piece here.
Buick will slowly roll out this slogan over the next few months though it might take a while before the brand’s marketing catches up and the slogan becomes commonplace in all televised advertisements.
