Aston Martin Celebrates Recent F1 Successes With All New DBX707 AMR23 Edition

Aston Martin is celebrating the recent success of its Formula 1 racing team which is currently in second place in the Constructor Standings and Fernando Alonso nabbed a podium finish several times including most recently in Miami last weekend. To celebrate, the company has confirmed that it will be creating a special version of the DBX707 called the AMR23 Edition.

Aston Martin & Q Team Up For Unique AMR23 Edition

The DBX707 AMR23 Edition is a product of Aston Martin’s Q Division and the bespoke division used the opportunity to experiment with paint and interior hues. The core styling is shared with the standard 707 model but Q gave the SUV a shade of Podium Green paint, a Q by Aston Martin badge on the fender and green tinged brake calipers. Otherwise, the SUV is largely carried over from the standard model with the DBX707 already bringing a host of upgrades to the exterior styling including a bigger front grille and more intakes and vents to help improve cooling.

The interior also highlights the F1 connection with carbon fiber accents complimenting the dark satin trim and the Duotone Onyx Black/Eiffel Green color scheme. Q’s involvement in the project means that some of the customization options that define the exterior will also be available in the interior with bespoke trim and upholstery choices perhaps being part of the mix for the AMR23 Edition along with other minor touches that are designed to cater to the tastes of each customer.

Performance hardware is unchanged, with the AMR23 Edition still being powered by an upgraded version of the DBX’s 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that makes 697-horsepower. An eight-speed automatic is still the only transmission available and all-wheel drive is standard equipment. The DBX707 is also one of the fastest performance SUVs on the market today, with the Aston only being outshined (albeit slightly) in horsepower by the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat.

The DBX707 AMR23 Edition is available to order now with additional AMR23 upgrades also being available through Q. Pricing wasn’t released but with Q Division involved expect the price tag to reflect the high levels of customization and features the AMR23 Edition brings to the table. Look for Aston Martin to also perhaps extend the special edition to other models as the season progresses which would not only allow the company to continue to leverage on its racing heritage, but also give Q designers more opportunities to show off their design abilities while also opening the special edition lineup to a wider drag net of customers.
