Chrysler Reveals 2023 Chrysler 300C, Scat Pack Infused 300 To Serve As Swan Song For Model

Chrysler promised that something powerful was coming to the brand for 2023. While it’s unfortunately not a Hellcat powered creation, Chrysler instead chose to dust off an old but very potent formula with the unveiling of the 2023 Chrysler 300C which brings potent V8 power to the venerable 300 for one final time.

Familiarity Plays Big Role In 2023 300C

If you feel like you have seen this script play out before you’re not wrong, and that’s because the 2023 Chrysler 300C is roughly a rebadged version of the international market 300 SRT and is also a sequel to the original U.S. market 300 SRT that was last sold here in the early 2010s. Like that model before it, the story here is what’s under the hood, with all 300Cs being powered by the 6.4 liter Hemi that sees duty in other non Hellcat equipped SRT models. In the 300, it produces 485 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. That’s a slight increase in power over the old model’s 470 hp, and the 300C also benefits from a newer eight speed automatic (the outgoing SRT only had five gears to play with.)

Outside the new badges, the rest of the upgrades here mirror the SRT with all 300C models featuring bigger brakes, a limited slip differential, sport exhaust, and active dampers. That should please performance fans though we are also curious why Chrysler waited this long to bring the 6.4 liter back into the model especially considering that fans have clamored for its return since it was axed from the 300 lineup back in 2015.

The rest of the changes also follow this well worn script, the interior retains much of what we have seen in the 300 the past few years, but 300C models add black Laguna leather seats with 300C logo, carbon fiber accents, silver stitching, and gloss black trim. The exterior also carries over with minimal changes the front bumper has been slightly reworked and the 300C logo is placed slightly off center from the grille. The 300C also gets blacked out accents for the grille, head and taillights, and a new tri-color version of the Chrysler badge.

When Can I Buy One?

If your a Chrysler 300 fan looking to add this gem to your garage, you will need to act quickly. Chrysler revealed that it only plans to produce 2200 examples with 2000 of them being destined for the U.S. market while Canada gets the remaining 200. Each one will have a base price of $55,000 and these models will be the last of the breed, with Chrysler revealing that the 300 will leave the lineup after 2023 which will also end Chrysler’s 100 plus year presence in the full-size car segment.

“We’re celebrating the Chrysler 300 and it’s iconic legacy in the automotive world,” said Chrysler brand chief Chris Feuell. “The Chrysler 300 changed the automotive world in so many ways, and we will carry that spirit of ingenuity forward as we transform Chrysler with a fully electrified future and breakthrough customer experiences.”
