It is easy to lump the Huayra into the LaFerrari and McLaren P1 competitive set. But in actuality, the only vehicle with a similar price/performance quotient is the Bugatti Chiron. (As well as Koenigsegg and perhaps W Motors if we’re generous.)
Pricing for Pagani’s never leaves much change from a $3-million cashier’s check. While its delivery timeframes are easily 18 months or longer.
So whenever one comes up for sale, particularly a US-legal model, it is newsworthy.
This Huayra Tempesta was the first-ever customer car in the states and one of only 100 made in total. It is equipped with the desirable Tempesta package, which runs about 200 grand, and revamps the underbody aero, front splitter and other details for max-attack speed at the track.
This example was finished at the factory in Grigio Scuro Opaco, a semi-gloss grey, that is not as timeless as the car underneath. Even so, loving this Pagani will be easy.
