Long before it was shorthanded to the VDP option package, Van den Plas was making their name with stunning vehicles like this SS100.

Favorite details in this gorgeous, closed-body art deco coachwork? How about the insanely ballooned fenders, edged in a thick sheath of chrome all around the lower bodyside. Or that fabulous grille and blinding lights.

But the all-time coolest detail? The almost-nonexistent windshield — presented with no top edge and at an ultra raked angle — for 1939 or today!
