When looking closely at the 2011 and 2012 Lexus LF-LC concepts, you see clear influences all around toward the latest RC. You also see the design from these advanced studies throughout the Lexus line for 2015 – with everything from the GX to the ES and LS wearing a giant spindle frame grille and arrowhead lighting elements.
There is more to these beauties than just the nose, however: they share the exact proportions and hard-points with the vaunted LF-A supercar.
Are these designs intended as a second-generation LF-A? Something like an LF-C with hybrid power from the Toyota TS040 LeMans entry?
Time will tell. Lexus design has already moved beyond these concepts with the latest NX crossover — so they may be recalled most as outlining a new family look.
But the potential is clear: the tech in the LF-A is ripe for another zing up the V10 redline.
