This car is RARE!
Of course, many concept cars were one-off creations for a specific auto show or other event. And many more are not actual cars at all – they cannot roll on their own power whatsoever.
But almost all of them are trotted out of the archives at some point after their initial show. If only to be sold at auction, they are almost always seen again at some point. This allows there to be more photos of the car than just one or two.
Cars from the 1960s are almost nonexistent in photos from their original debut. The photos were old and on film – and are largely awful quality. That is why we love seeing them when they come up for auction — if only for the new photographs!
This car has been out-of-sight for at least 40 years. This makes me think it might have met an untimely demise. Crash, fire, private sale — we do not know for sure.
But these photos are old and low-resolution.
The model and the setup/prep shot of getting the car into this granite or limestone mine carrara marble quarry hopefully makes it worthwhile regardless.
