Have you ever dreamed about something for so long that you start to lose hope about ever doing it in real life? That is the BMW M5 for me.
But I drove this dream. Not just drove it around a parking lot, either: we hit 130-mph at Road America.
Afterward, the M5 asked me to remind you…:
“Dream Big.”
The BMW M5 is the hottest woman, the biggest house, and the best job all rolled into one super saloon car. I have longed for the car – felt the ache in my loins to get behind the wheel every morning and every evening.
Then the opportunity arose to hop in for not just a dream-car drive, but a dream-car track test drive at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
It had been a thrilling morning already: the 2014 E63 AMG 4MATIC Estate and 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Z51 Convertible performed the same track and street blast just moments before – with none other than your humble scribe at the wheel!
Instead of just one orgasmic dream, this was a live POV of my body inside multiple supermodels — all in one session!?
Sensory overload, to be sure, and feeling very avatar-esque in memory – recalling it is like an out-of-body experience. Did this really happen? To me? My brain is only about 60-percent sure.
But the videos are my proof that yes, indeed, this was real. Included here are my BMW M5 first drive impressions via the interior video of the Road America track blast.
THis first video is one of my *Very Best*.
…So far… =]

One lap. One take. One chance to learn about the M5 and show her some of my best dance moves as well.
Like most wet dreams, this one was over far too quickly. It leaves me wanting more, and even more determined to — some day — make the M5 my commuter supercar.
Leaving the perfect house every morning, in the perfect car, to the perfect job.
The M5 is just perfect. It is a big dream, realized in high-power glory.
Shut your eyes.
Snap a mental photo.
Make it happen.
