Okay!
Trying to plow through all these Cars and Coffee photos before heading up to Charlotte tomorrow for the Mustang 50th Anniversary Celebrations — three days of playful work in the infield of the Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Hoping to come back with some track videos and driving impressions to share — but one thing is certain: I will have more photos than most car magazines publish in a full calendar year!
My Amelia adventure? More than 3000 photos, 99-percent of which are in-focus and use-able. But still 600 that I am too fatigued to write about (so far). Rainy day…
Therefore, clearing things out is critical beforehand — or the cars risk being lost to obscurity of my computer for ever more!
A few great cars at Cars and Coffee that I do not have enough images of to do full write-ups…
The Nova below is a favorite — now I understand why my Uncle Charlie had one as his first car. (My Dad had a Porsche 912, so we could not figure out why Charlie, his brother, would choose a Nova.) Makes sense now…
It is gorgeous and shows how much a ride-height drop can benefit the style and handling of these classic muscle cars.
The 1973 Dart Swinger seemed especially jacked-up, but its owner swears by originality above all else. He is debating adding spacers in the rear springs to address some ass droopage, but… it probably drooped from the factory too. That was the look.
1967 Chevrolet Nova
~1952 Hudson Coupe
2002 Superformance Cobra
