Until the new M4 arrives, the BMW 6-series Gran Coupe is by far my favorite current BMW.
While all brands like to tout their new cars as longer, lower and wider than before: usually the changes are fractions of an inch (or some other meaningless millimeter measurements!).
The 640i GC is a full three inches lower than the 5-series, rocks almost a 117-inch wheelbase, and looks wider than a Hummer H1 on the highway.
The whole car is designed to emphasize width, power and stance from all angles.
The glasshouse is far more inward of the car’s shoulder-line than any previous BMW sedan, and a full-width LED light bar sits just above the rear glass.
The 6-series GC is so handsome, it even makes the two-door 6-series look a bit silly.
BMW Individual can really glam up this already-lux cabin with woven leather accents and virtually all the coolest materials, woods and other high-brow interior accents.

Tech is second to none, and this $78,000 baller of a four-door sedan packs huge turbo overboost – hitting 60-mph in less than 5.0 seconds even without a brake-torque launch.
Just slam the throttle down, and this N55HP inline-six shoves the 640i and your three best pals to 155-mph without breaking a sweat.
The 650i is even more of a rocketship, with xDrive AWD available even with the car’s low-slung ride height.
