W Motors is such an exciting success story – it must win the Best of 2013 Award for these achievements.
From the outside world, a new hypercar from a country without automotive expertise is laughable.
Even coming close to the levels set by Pagani, Ferrari, Porsche and McLaren is virtually impossible for any new company.
At the very least: most of the promises from any new exotic car brand are (very) exaggerated.
This spirals development costs out of control, leading to:
– insolvency from lack of capital to invest
– at the very least, huge delays and unhappy deposit-makers
Case in point? SSC North America is radio silent about the Tuatara, which was previously set for its first deliveries in January 2014 with pricing topping $1 million per car.
W Motors is proving to be the exception to this rule.
One common bond among most of the world’s men is passion for cars, speed, and adrenaline. This surely extends down the sandy highways of Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Deep pockets across the world are eager to join the project, making W Motors a bit of a showcase for Arabian engineering in general.
But these guys are not trying to re-invent the wheel. Their roster of suppliers includes some of the most revered names in the auto business.
Cost-no-object construction of the debut Lykan Hypersport means the first few cars are already assembled and lapping the Dubai Autodrome.
From a roll-out in February to deliveries now is mighty impressive, even with the $3.4 million price tag attached.
Sold-out already, the Lykan Hypersport shows a company with vision, strategy and execution of the business plan.
Enjoy these color turn-tables of the Lykan Hypersport, along with all the latest images from W Motors.
Stay tuned for some exclusive details on the cheaper Supersport follow-up to W Motors’ first werewolf hypercar.
